The worthwhile sprinter, who also had quite a few successes on the track, lost his life at a "company accident" on the Gent track in Belgium. It's sad that this accident prone rider, which he was a bit, died after crashing. Many times he survived death defying crashes, but this time the likeable Galvez never got back on his custom made carbon bike. May he rest in peace.
